Sarah Palin, Instant Worldwide Fame

Sarah Palin, Instant Worldwide Fame

Just think about it. Name any other Mayor of Wasilla, Alaska or Governor of Alaska than Sarah Palin? Bet you can't do it. Now everyone knows Sarah Palin because she was named Republican Vice Presidential running mate of John MCain.

She is in her 15 minutes of fame because she gave a speech during the Republican Convention, participated in the single vice presidential debate, is on TV everyday, is the first woman to appear on a Republican presidential ticket, is a national Republican leader, and is widely written about. Some women even identify with her.

She has to think about her future now because in about 30 days John McCain will lose the Presidential election and she will return to Alaska. She has to build up her rolodex now with the names, addresses, and phone numbers of all of the influential people she meets now. She has to get a book deal set. She has to prepare for an extensive paid speech making tour. She has to decide whether or not appear on TV a lot like Pat Buchanon. She has to examine endorsement possibilities such as NRA, weapon manufacturers, hunting and fishing tours, near arctic clothes, snowmobiles, and others. Maybe she can become a United States Senator from Alaska.

Unless you are a historian of America, most losing presidential contenders are soon forgotten, especially the vice presidential contenders. I fear than Sarah Palin is motivated and can run her fame into at least $10 million to even $50 million. Too bad she will not be forgotten soon.
