What is going on here? I do not speak Spanish and it seems that I will not be able to appreciate the debate because I only speak English. I thought only citizens could vote and they had to know at least some English. Is English not good enough for everybody? I feel as if a door has been slammed in front of me by the presidential hopefuls that agreed to this. Is not what they have to say important to me also?

I really do not like to point fingers, but it seems like there are people who are fostering a dual set of societies in America, an English one and a Spanish one. One can see it all over the country. Old President Clinton executive order forced translation of English documents which has been good enough for most of us and our families for hundreds of years into Spanish and other foreign languages. Our southern border continues to be flooded with illegal aliens mostly Spanish speakers into America. Other Federal level laws mandate that we ignore whether an individual is an illegal alien but we are forced to educate the children and pay other societical costs such as healthcare for them also. We have jobs in America that are only for Spanish speakers only and we have other jobs now for speakers with both English and Spanish abilities only. English used to be good enough for most jobs but not for President Bush and the new democratic contenders.

The open border allowed the supply of workers at the no or low skilled level to over supply the maketplace that drove down wages and benefits. Prevailing wage and benefit levels were dimished. Most have not recovered to origenal levels. Most of these jobs were in the service sector because Washington leaders have long ago let tens of millions of manufacturing jobs go overseas. And they continue to foster outsourcing of service jobs overseas.

I believe in the meltingpot where everyone becomes an American instead of a Spanish speaking American or an English speaking Americans.

I believe in the English language as the unifying language so that all Americans can communicate with each other and that we are all on the same page. I find it hard to believe there is so much resistance to English by Spanish speakers. The educated people coming to America as H1B immigrants already learned English. Learned people all over the world have learned English. It seems everyone else in the world is for English.

I am not going to vote for any George Bush or Bill Clinton or Hillary Clinton or anyone else that wants to play up the Spanish language. I have even less repect for them when they do not enforce American laws to protect our border, return illegal aliens to their home countries, and fine employers of illegal aliens.

There are a lot more English only speaking American voters in America than Spanish speaking voters and these idiots risk alienating us even more. How stupid can one get?
