Presidential Candidates Fail Again

IT chiefs worldwide have no idea who the "IT candidate" for president is. Not that there is one.

If CIOs and IT managers around the world could pick the next American president, Hillary Clinton might win in a landslide.

That's the word from a stray question on a wide-ranging survey conducted recently by The Computing Technology Industry Association Inc. (CompTIA) that raises more questions than it answers.

The primary issue in America about IT (Information Technology) is jobs for American citizens working in America. If Americans continue to lose jobs due to outsourcing overseas and bringing aliens to America under the H1B Visa to replace Americans on the job right here in America...the rest does not matter to the majority of American voters.

American IT workers took a sharp stick in the eye as they found themselves fired and replaced by aliens overseas and even in America. Students recognize the fact and studies in IT major and minors in college have rapidly declined. People also say the majority of those Americans lucky to remain employed are Boomers ready to retire during the next decade leaving skills and experience that are difficult to replace.

America leaves itself more open to cyber attacks when most American computing is accomplished by aliens.

The IT press is run by the advertisers that provide contract labor to the American IT industry. The are going to lean towards overseas outsourcing and H1B outsourcing.

IT workers do not have a voice in the Press or in government. You never see rank and file systems analysts, programmers, computer architects, systems engineers, and other job titles testifying in front of Congress.

It is the same problem, retaining jobs for Americans in America for many industries such as engineering, graphic design, accounting, training, lawyers, architecture, teaching, and most others.

President Clinton's economic advisor from Princeton said as many as 60 million more jobs may be outsourced from America to foreign countries.

It truly is all about the jobs in America, stupid, playing on another earlier Presidential theme.
