John McCain, The Navy Passed Him Over

John McCain, The Navy Passed Him Over

John McCain was the son and the grandson of Navy Admirals. Growing up on military bases he led a priveliged life.

While attending Annapolis, McCain specialized in punishment tours for breaking the rules. McCain was no scholar.

McCain was shot down from his Naval jet while over Vietnam and captured serving 5 years as a prisoner of war.

McCain suffered many tortures and required many months of rehabilitation to recover from his injuries and ailments.

McCain returned to active duty with the Navy and then quit when he found out that the Navy passed him over from the promotion list to Admiralty rank. When McCain realized he would not reach any admiralty rank he retired from the Navy, and eventually became a Senator from Arizona.

He has a reputation to be a maverick.

McCain divorced his first wife and remarried.

Personally, the man does not have enough character to be President of the United States of America. I do not think excessing at things bringing punishment tours as a student at Annapolis should be overlooked. I do not know if the American voters can accept a divorced man as President. If the Navy did not want him, I certainly do not want him as President of the United States. I do not understand the criticism of McCain that he is a maverick.

One of the nicest things people can say about President Bush is that he is a maverick. President Bush follows his own ideas rather than the constitution. President Bush does not follow the voice of the people in many instances too.

America does not need another maverick such as John McCain. John McCain supports George Bush on most things and will ignore the constitution when he can and will also follow his own direction even though the people are against those ideas....

John McCain can live the good life with his $59,000 military pension and his even bigger Senator pension and Social Security and Medicare, and his family's 100+ million dollars in assets. John McCain has done enough for America, America must retire him permanently to Arizona where he comes from. If he was home more he could take better care of his 95 year old mother.
